PRact:sing is a Creative Platform operating on behalf of the Parishes of All Hallows Gedling and Holy Trinity Lambley.
It will collect and store creative work made in response to the COVID 19 pandemic in which we are currently living. The collection will be made in preparation for an exhibition in 2021 (or whenever the pandemic is over) to be called CO:DID 20, a title which is reflective of what we have thought, said, done and made during the social isolation and work lockdowns.
HOW IT WORKS
We are inviting you to create and submit to take part in an exhibition. There are seven open categories that you can choose from.
🧶 1) Craft / Making / Construction - including knitting, sewing, model making 2) Photography / Film / Video 3) Music - including singing, instrumental, percussion, orchestral ► 4) Other types of offerings - including scientific accounts 5) Visual arts - including sculpture, painting, drawing and mixed media 6) Voice / Sound recordings / Theatre and Body Movement 7) Written word - including narrative, poetry, creative writing, historical accounts
Beyond the arts, we would love to hear from anyone and everyone about their experiences: front line carers, teachers working online, key workers, scientists involved with information gathering and analysis, technicians reforming the platforms of our tactical engagement.
Every media will be acceptable, provided that it is a response to our separation from each other or is a reflection of living with the death of loved ones.
We've made it really easy for you to contribute.
Once you have finished your creation, please name your file in the following format: Name / Title of Artwork / Date Created (example: Vera Smith / Dancing / May 2020.jpg)
Then you are ready to upload! You can do that by putting it into our virtual storage unit on Drobox. Click this link to upload.
After you have uploaded it, you will receive a confirmation email and we will place it into the relevant folder. If you would like to view your uploaded work and the work of others, you can do so by going into the Google Drive folder. Click this link to view all uploaded work.
