There are several interesting features in the autumn newsletter. These include an update on the Burundi partnership link, news from the Gedling Community Hub, an article on the work of Family
First, and one on developments from the Gedling Food Bank initiative.
There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold. They laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. Newsletter - Summer 2013
The committee is pleased to welcome Sheila Traynor as a member. Sheila has particular interest in the development of Christian Aid at All Hallows. If any of the projects and initiatives captures your interest and you would like to help in any way, please contact John.
There is much to report from the Seeking Justice Committee. In the summer edition of the newsletter you will find articles about the progress of the local food bank project, Christian Aid, the Gedling Community Hub, the Burundi partnership project, the IF campaign and the FRN furniture recycling charity.

The Seeking All Hallows Justice Group is getting involved with local, national and international issues. This first newsletter is intended to give a flavour of some of the projects we are involved with. There may be an issue that is close to your heart and we welcome new members to join with us in this
‘transforming mission of God’. Locally, we are supporting the work of the Gedling Community Hub in their community work. An initial concern we have supported them with has been flagging up their need of drivers to help ferry local folk to appointments etc. Perhaps you can help, or would like to help liaise with the Hub? Nationally, we are investigating links with a number of Christian charities, including Christians Against Poverty, Acts 435 and the Trussell Trust. These organisations support people in need in a variety of ways, including debt counselling, financial aid and food collection and distribution. You may have already contributed to the ‘Ten Tons of Tins’ food collection in church and may want to get further involved? Internationally we are supporting the vital work of Christian Aid and would welcome anyone interested in getting involved with the local group. Also on the international theme, the Seeking Justice Group is investigating forming links with an Anglican parish in Burundi, the second most impoverished country in the world. This could include the sharing of newsletters, art work and personal experiences in developing a partnership path of faith.
