Yours, Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory and the majesty; for everything in heaven and on earth is yours.  All things come from you, and of your own do we give you.
1st Book of Chronicles 29: 11,14
Through giving his life for us, Jesus provided the ultimate demonstration of God's generosity. Giving is at the centre of God's character - God gives us life and his giving is renewed daily.
'Giving for Life'
How much should I give?  The Church of England encourages Christians to consider prayerfully giving 5% of their after-tax income to and through their local church and a similar amount to other work that helps to build God's kingdom.
If you would like to consider your giving in depth you could try The Money Revolution that helps you explore applying Christian principles for handling your money. The Money Revolution is supported by Archbishop John Sentamu.
