Our team of volunteers meet regularly to discuss ways of supporting
those in need in our parish. They visit the sick and those in need of spiritual uplifting and support be it in hospital, care home or there own home.
Peter 5:22 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve;

Pastoral Care
Pastoral care is something we all need at one time or another. We see on our prayer list in the pew leaflet those people who have asked for our prayers and we trust in our Lords help to get them back to health.
In addition to our prayers, our pastoral care visiting team visit them in their own homes and if requested will take Holy Communion to them.
As we get older many parents and friends are unable to manage at home and we place them in local Nursing Homes. The Pastoral Care group make regular visits to these homes to chat with the residents and make them aware that the All Hallows family are praying and thinking about them. Sadly some residents get very few visits from family for various reasons. For the past couple of years we have taken the church to them and held a service with hymns, readings and prayers on a monthly basis. We find it very encouraging when residents with failing memories and dementia still remember their favourite hymns and enjoy singing along.
For those who have lost a relative someone from the Pastoral care group will, if requested, visit the family after the funeral has taken place to talk and pray with them at that difficult time.
If you think you could spare a little time once a month, please have a chat with the clergy or any member of our group to find out more.
We would be very pleased to welcome you.
